VA Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

Virginia Lemon Law covers a motor vehicle used in substantial part for personal, family, or household purposes. The lemon law coverage period is 18 months. 3 repair attempts or 30 calendar days out of service. 1 repair attempt for a serious safety defect.
