NY Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

New York Lemon Law covers any non-commercial motor vehicle purchased or leased, except for motorcycles, certain motor homes, and off-road vehicles. The lemon law coverage period is 2 years or 18,000 miles. 4 repair attempts or 30 days out of service.
