Ga Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

Georgia Lemon Law covers leased and purchased vehicles. The chassis of Motor Homes is covered. Motorcycles, or 10,000+ pound vehicles are not covered. The lemon law coverage period is 1 year or 12,000 miles. 1 repair attempt is needed if the defect is braking or steering, otherwise it is 3 attempts or the vehicle must be out of service for 30 calendar days.
