In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

West Virginia Lemon Law covers passenger vehicles, pickup trucks, vans and motor home chassis used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes. The lemon law coverage period is the warranty period or 1 year. 3 repair attempts or 30 calendar days out of service. 1 attempt for a condition likely to cause death or serious bodily injury.
