SD Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

South Dakota Lemon Law covers all vehicles intended primarily for use and operation on the public highways which is self-propelled. Does not include motor homes or vehicles with a GVW of 10,000 pounds or more. The lemon law coverage period is 1 year or 12,000 miles. 4 repair attempts plus 1 final attempt.
