IL Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

Illinois Lemon Law covers new cars aswell as trucks and vans under 8,000 pounds. RVs are covered, but not trailers. Motorcycles are not covered. The lemon law coverage period is 1 year or 12,000 miles. 4 repair attempts must be made or the vehicle must be out of service for 30 calendar days.
