ID Lemon Law Summary

In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.

Idaho Lemon Law covers new motor vehicles used for personal business use, family or household purposes. Motorcycles, farm tractors, trailers or any vehicle with a weight greater than 12,000 pounds are not covered. The lemon law coverage period is 2 years, the warranty period, or 24,000 miles. 4 repair attempts must be made or the vehicle must be out of service for 30 calendar days.
