In order to protect consumers from defective lemon cars this state has put in place the following lemon law.
Florida Lemon Law covers new vehicles: purchased or leased for personal/family/household use. Vehicles made to run on tracks only, off-road vehicles, vehicles over 10,000 pounds, RVs, and motorcycles are not covered. The lemon law coverage period is 24 months. 3 repair attempts must be made for the same defect, or the vehicle must be out of service for 30 calendar days.
